  • One of my favorites, I love the rain. Have listen to this one "Glancing up through the Rain" many times, thanks...

  • Hi Doc,

I listened to your "raincast" while driving. It was drizzling so that was really nice to get the sound in addition to the "visuals". Very Floyd-like actually.

Also liked the background (delicate sound of) thunder. It was very effective to set the mood of the whole podcast and also reinforced some tracks such as Careful with that Axe, Eugene.

Also enjoyed the inclusion of more unusual tracks (Far from the Harbour Wall, Four Minutes, What God Wants part I) and the lead-out. Very nice moody show indeed!

Oh, and also liked your note about the merch' / Rog thing.

Thanks for your amazing pudding, er, work!

    Cheers from Philly!

  • I apologize that my "rant" spoiled the show. The reason you can't find a comment from Roger is because you don't use Facebook. Roger was quick to dig up an old buried hatchet and post about how profiteering it was of David and Nick. Quite blatantly. thems the facts...

  • @doc & @fishcado I can find no comment from Roger Waters about the merchandise and money. He made a comment about how crap the stuff looks and wanted to know who was behind it. He then found out it was Nick & Dave and said it's a funny old world. That's it. Made no mention about it being profiteering or money grabbing at all. I don't think he deserves your critiscm. A potentially good podcast spoiled by the unwarranted digs at him (sorry Doc).

  • Great compilation!

Love listening to your podcasts Doc. Reminds me when I used to buy boots in Greenwich Village. My favorite boot which I still have somewhere in my attic is "In Celebration of the Comet." Bought back in the early 80s.

Thanks also for bringing up the hypocrisy of Roger ranting about making money off of the merchandising. Bit phony on his part.

  • What about Sexual Revolution: "Nothing can grow without rain"?

    j/k great show.

btw, I heard that Echoes originally had outer space themed lyrics. Do you know of any recordings of it with the original lyrics or where I might find those lyrics?

  • @blake you have a few options.
First try a different browser like Chrome, Firefox or Safari.

Second try right clicking and "save as" or save target as"

Lastly and probably the best option is to download iTunes after it has installed, click on the subscribe button at the top right of every page on this site.
iTunes will now automatically download every episode as they are released.
    Happy Days
    Hope this solves your problem.

  • thank you for the latest podcast! That had 3 songs from the Houston show that got rained out and I have been trying to find for a while. The memories are awesome, not only of the Floyd, but of the rain, too. Maybe listening to this will somehow cosmically end our drought here in Texas!

  • Doc, this is a fine podcast. Very nice indeed.

I've never commented before, but have been lurking here a long, long time.

I just felt obliged to point out that you do a very fine service for the entire Pink Floyd fan community.

I always look forward to your podcasts, have them all loaded up on my iPod and listen to them all the time. I hear your voice so often that I feel almost like I know you.

It's great to hear not just a Pink Floyd themed radio show on a regular basis, but one done by someone who is clearly as passionate about the band as many of us are.

    Your work is greatly appreciated.
