Show #157, Release date: 17. September, 2010

And so it begins.  The first of many shows from perhaps one of Roger's most anticipated tours since leaving Pink Floyd nearly 30 years ago.  The Wall 2010!

If you rather not spoil it for yourself, then don't listen but resistance is futile.  The recording is decent but it badly needed some tweaking. It was far too bassy, so I fixed that up and doctored it for supersound.  Enjoy!

Air Canada Centre Toronto, Ontario, Canada, 15. September 2010.  I removed the set list but it should come as no surprise.

Musicians:
Drums: Graham Broad
Guitars: Dave Kilminster, G.E. Smith, Snowy White
Bass: Roger Waters
Keyboards: Jon Carin, Harry Waters
Lead Vocals: Robbie Wyckoff, Roger Waters
Backing Vocals: Jon Joyce, Mark Lennon, Pat Lennon, Kipp Lennon

Special Thanks to Many (nerdlogger) for the recording.

  • Doc, a wonderful surprise indeed! Historic as the first show on the tour, but I see that Chicago has also already been released. How about you keep a running entry detailing the shows that have been recorded/leaked and your opinions of them? Personally, I won't be able to DL over 100 shows, so some kind of perspective would be greatly appreciated. I just KNOW that you'll be following the releases religiously, eh?

Thanks and keep up the excellent work! You truly rock!

  • The Doc is the MAN. Thanks for all that you do.
IMO hearing this recording is appetizer not a spoiler. And I second the sentiment of Bumr50's notes above. Personally I hope to be surrounded by catatonic stoners when I see the show.

  • Note to concertgoers: far be it from me to try and ruin your experience but perhaps if, when you feel the hankering to BELT OUT the lyrics to your favorite songs along with the performers, you could remember that you more than likely have this music at HOME, and can sing along anytime that you want THERE.

Although I'm unable to attend this tour due to financial constraints, I would hope that if I were there that my mind would be sufficiently blown either spiritually or chemically (or both) that I would be unable to sing at the top of my lungs. These tix ain't cheap, and the other 20,000 people didn't shell out hundreds of dollars to hear YOU.

OK, I'm done. And thanks for getting this one up quickly, Doc!

  • The only spoiler would be if Dave was on Guitar. Where-ever he is I can count on some great bootlegger to get it I'm sure.Any bets as to where he will play? He skipped Vancouver during his solo tour.

  • Doc:

Naughty naughty. No matter, the actual show will be another animal entirely. I just keep thinking, how will my 12 year old boys react to such a spectacle ( from the 8th row center). I spoil them, I know.

  • You went with the spoiler title then, Doc? lol.
Not downloading, not downloading, not downloading (fingers behave and move away from the download button!) Roll on next May and then I'll have lots of your wonderful work to download... :-)

  • Well Well
First time I have listened to a podcast straight from my computer, just could not wait even to transfer it to my pod. I will be giving it a louder blast in my car when I get the chance. Musically it sounds very much like the original shows. I hope they get round to putting an encore in by the time they get to the UK.
Also hope that some soundboard recording gets leaked at some point.
