Show #161, Release date: 19. October, 2010

Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, OH, 28. September 2010.  I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this is by far the best recording to date from this tour.  Bold statement?  Hear for yourself and please comment.  I can't stop listening to it.

A big thank you to Ravingandrooling for a tremendous capture of a show and for entrusting me with the original files.  With those files, I was able to lift the sound during the quieter moments, enhance the space,EQ, and apply few other tricks.  I use the car test.  If it sounds good in a car, it’s going to sound good through anything.  Tested and approved... doctored up for supersound!

Dig it.

  • I was out in London and was sat in my car waiting for my wife for 2 hours and 40 minutes, while I was waiting I was playing some games on my new iPhone, when I got bored of playing games I started checking out the web and straight to my favourite place.....And oh no a new podcast and I am miles from home, anyway I click on the direct download button and Whoa Hoooo, It starts playing I disconnect my iPod and Plug in my iPhone and there we have it I streamed the show all the way home.
I love my new iPhone even more now.
I will never have to wait ever again.

When is Roger going to add an encore?

  • They are getting more and more polished, from the sounds at the beginning ("they think it's all over" and Holy Grail etc), through to the mere timing and sheer emotion. Terrific. London in May seems an awfully long way away... AL

  • Once again amazing recording doc! Makes you wish such quality recording equipment was available back for the 70's shows. I can't wait for nov 4 in jersey for my show! I sure hope you get a recording of that one. Having a copy of the show you were at is such a special thing. Keep up the good work!

  • Hey, Doc. When in Hartford I recommend Vaughn's Public House. I was at the Hartford show, too and you know, I'd beg for a dvd of it if I didn't know it could only disappoint. How can you document on video what this show offers live? Sooo amazing. Wish I could afford to see it again. Thanks for the series.

BTW, where is the version of Lost Boys Calling from on the Gino's mix? It has different vocals and guitar solo than the version I have which is from a compilation called We All Love Ennio Morricone.

  • Bloody hell...that's an exceptionally full bodied recording with lovely sonic details I hadn't previously been aware of. One for the full speaker set-up when the neighbors are away. Cheers a million Doc.
