  • Epic.
Did I hear the word touche at the beginning of Another Brick in the Wall Part 1?

Pan Am Shuffle, man, that was brilliant. Great song. I loved it. Gilmour's guitar just never fails.

Great podcast. One in a million.

  • Newbie here; directed to such treasure troves by latest UK Mojo mag (Dec. issue) playlist recommendation.
I'm stunned and in 7th haeven trying to listen to it all ... (cancelled all other eve plans!):
thought I was the only one who tried to make own mixtapes of the live best etc.
So, I can't see one of rarest titles played live (e.g. Childhood's End etc.) + I read somewhere that the Jap '72 gigs all had a different encore each show: so howzabout could a cast be made up of such type content?
To close, yep, agree with all the others, your labours of love are simply stunning; and especially all the informative comments and your own sampling to top and tail the casts. My admiration goes out to such dedication.

  • Another great mix, Doc! I read a couple of years ago that Birthday Boy was recorded to 2-track over a cassette copy of Meddle - sorta the opposite of sampling.
I'm going to guess your hint is for a full '71 Germany show (though I'd be curious to hear what you could do with the whole Star Club set!)

  • The playlist looks really good, can't wait for the next time in the train listening to it. I really like the mixed podcasts, they keep surprizing and really feel like you're actually listening to radio.

  • Another great mix, Doc. We appreciate all the hard work you put into these podcasts. Looks like you will have plenty of stuff from the new releases to fill shows for the next year. A podcast examining the new Wall demos would be nice. I listened to the samples on the UK itunes and there is a treasure trove of great material there.

  • @Bill... thanks. Good catch on Ween (my 2nd favorite band) and it was just for the Echoes riff. I was going to use 'Pink Eye (on my leg)' but that's too weird.

p.s. appreciate you noting your location.

  • Brilliant! Keeping it fresh, that's for sure. One in a Million was a special treat. Nice Ween shout-out, is/was it somebody's birthday recently??

  • @MikeE... I have a few good full concert podcasts planned. Here's a hint; One of them is featured in this podcast.

  • Great stuff as always. I originally preferred the full concert podcasts, but I've really come to enjoy these "mix" casts as well. Thank you!

  • Great - a new podcast! I'm hoping an official 1974 Wembley Pool Echoes will surface on the "Meddle" Experience edition thereby completing the 1974 concert. At which point you can stitch them all together and make the ultimate '74 show podcast!
