Show #172, Release date: 4. July, 2011
In keeping with the tradiition of featuring each Wall show I've been to, here is the latest (for now). Going to this gig in the West Midlands region of the UK was completely unexpected. ...from the plane to the train in London to the show at the NIA with backpack in hand. I was fortunate to attend and now you too can bask it's sonic bliss. Shortly after returning home I discovered two different recordings. So I mixed the two together and wow... from The NIA, Birmingham, UK, 27. June, 2011.
I've been meaning to post this for a few days but there was tweaking that still needed to be done. I think it's ready now. Enjoy!

Hello! It's now just a week from today, I'll be in Birmingham followed by Manchester, UK for two more gripping Wall shows. I never imagined I'd be back in the UK so soon. I can't thank Barry BURBs enough for his assistance in getting me over. Barry used to produce and present a weekly podcast called, "BURBs Pod" which featured British underground rock music.
This will be a quick one for me... I fly into London on the 27th and back to Boston on the 29th. It's unlikely I'll be recording these shows. Hopefully someone will step up and bang out a top notch, quality recording. Anyway... if you see a tall guy with long hair and a baseball on backwards, its me. I hope to see you there!

Show #170, Release date: 22. May, 2011
In keeping with the tradition of featuring a Wall gig for every city I've seen it in, as promised, here's the big show from London. This was my ninth time seeing The Wall and by far the most special. It was the night David Gilmour returned the favor to Roger. As things would have it, Nick Mason was also there and joined in. The surviving members of Pink Floyd, reunited on stage for the first time since Live8. It was amazing! Roger and the band sounded tight and the sound is incredable! I had an excellent location to record from and I'm pleased to present it to you.
Live at the O2 Arena, London, U.K., 12. May 2011. With Special guests... David Gilmour and Nick Mason!
A huge special thanks to Jeff (aka Ravingandrooling) for lending me his recording gear. Photo taken from my seat with an iPhone3Gs. Section B3, Row A, Seat 50

Show #169, Release date: 19. May, 2011
Fresh on the heels of my trip to the U.K., heres the latest podcast. This was sort of an experiment by doing a few breaks (voicing) on the road from various Floyd related locations in London and Cambridge. There are a few kinks I'll need to work out if I decide to do another location podcast (my shyness being one of them) but all in all... it came out well.
I had an amazing time and especially enjoyed meeting so many long time listeners for the first time. Oh and as usual now, highlight below if you want to see the playlist. Enjoy and please mind the gap!
01. Set The Controls For The Heart of The Sun [Latrun Monastery, Neve Shalom, Isreal, 22. June, 2006] 02. Learning To Fly 03. Atom Hear Mother [BBC Paris Cinema, London, 16 July 1970] 04. Hey there! Well, it's less than a week away before I jet off to the U.K. The next podcast is lined up and ready for commentary from London and Cambridge as I visit some notable Floyd sites. It's going to be very cool indeed. I also hope to have the mic rolling before and during and after The Wall shows at London's O2.
I'll be attending the following nights at the O2
- 11. May 2011 (section B1)
- 12. May 2011 (section B3) -> it's this one!
- 14. May 2011 (section 112)
- 15. May 2011 (section A1)
Good friend of the podcast, Simon Wimpenny keeps an excellent blog about his travels and meeting people while following Roger and the band across Europe. His site provides the following link with details on where countless Floyd fans will be meeting up for pre show drinks and good times! It's close to the venue and I Hope to see you there!!
