I almost decided to call the show "Denver matrix”. Instead this podcast gets its title from the forum on Col Turner's website pinkfloydz.com. A very large group of great people from the forum came out to Denver to meet up and enjoy Roger Waters at the Pepsi Center. I was very fortunate to be amongst them. It was a time to be had. Finally, a Denver recording has become available. Not one, but two different sources popped up, so I decided to kick it up a notch and make a matrix of the two. The result is impressive. I've been eagerly waiting to share this moment with you. Enjoy! Set One: 1. "Opening theme" 2. In The Flesh? 3. Mother 4. Set the Controls for the Heart Of the Sun 5. Shine on You Crazy Diamond 6. Have A Cigar 7. Wish You Were Here 8. Southampton Dock 9. Fletcher Memorial Home 10. Perfect Sense (Parts 1 & 2) 11. Leaving Beirut 12. Sheep Set Two: 13. Speak to Me 14. Breathe 15. On the Run 16. Time 17. Great Gig in the Sky 18. Money 19. Us and Them 20. Any Colour You Like 21. Brain Damage 22. Eclipse Encore: 23. Band Intros 24. The Happiest Days of Our Lives 25. Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2) 26. Vera 27. Bring the Boys Back Home 28. Comfortably Numb Running Time 2h:34m:36s The image was taken with my iPhone from the second row and here's a scan of my ticket. Comments[36]

- Hello Doc - & thank you very much posting this.
I was at the concert in Denmark (Odense) so this show will illustrate my experiences there.
The concert itself was very good - though with an unbalanced sound through the 4 monitors - the frontend was far too low from where I was standing.
Maybe a recording will pop-up sometime - this could be interesting - until then -
Good luck with your work & this website. - Hi Doc, and to all the floyd fans. It's good to see you are back in business again, I'me really glad and thank you for this recording that sounds really nice. I was just wondering if you or anyone knows the name of the beautiful instrumental jazz song on the preshow, the one that's after Chet Baker's funny valentine. I really dig jazz, and would like to download that song but I dont have the name. I'd appreciate any info on this, cheers....
- Great show Doc.As my little bro said earlier in the comments,we saw this show twice (Earls Court 07 & Hyde Park Calling 06)Ive got the Hyde Park show on CD,but could do with a 'doctored version'maybee sometime?!Love the chatter during the pre-show on this one, like when the guy asks someone for a light (wouldnt get away with that in the UK!),funny though Doc,it sounded just like you....?!
- hey doc, another amazing show...
i know you have done several shows that feature the 'In The Flesh' tour of '77, but i was wondering if you had one of the few recordings of 'Cymbaline' from that tour anywhere and maybe could whip it out in one of your mixes soon...
Danny - Hi Matt & Denver friends,
Wasn't this the best moment ever? Thank you so much for presenting it on here.
It was such a privilege to meet you all and have the fantastic time we had. I will never forget the walk to the arena (how exciting we were), the meet up of some other AFG friends (Scott) and the line 'Mine Too!" from Greg to the cab driver on the way back to the hotel!! In my opinion, the show was the best from the American leg of the tour (and the band felt that way too, from what I was told in Houston).
I loved meeting you, Col, Ellie, Wendy, Kim, Andy, Greg, Joseph, Kara, Brian, Jake, Ron, Chris and Meagann, Jessica and Elliot for the first time. It was fantastic to see Simon, Jackie and Dave, Eddie, Marco and Donna, Michael and Suzanne and Tim again. May we all get a moment like this again in the future!!
With Love,
Gina
- Thank you so much Demos for the very kind words. Thank you everyone.
Its sometimes a challenge to be objective when presenting actualities (i.e. a concert) when you've been a part of it. This was one of them.
I was privileged to have pinkfloydz.com's Col Turner next to me, with friends surrounded (See Michael's first post) for the entire show as well other big names in the Floyd community, including Ron Toon of Harvested Records, and Brain-Damage.co.uk's U.S. Publicist, Elliot Tayman.
My intention for this podcast is to convey the spirit about the time we all shared and the connection we felt. So those who weren't with us can be a part of it too.
I remember during the first set, I leaned to Col and said "This is the best I've ever heard them sound (referring to the Dark Side tour)" and Col quickly agreed. The band was very tight and I love where they took some of the material. Snowy White especially was really into it... I do agree with Bernhard however, I prefer David Gilmour over Dave K. His sound is replicated well, but its not and cannot be duplicated. Very much like this podcast. ; ) - Again and again and again and again Thank you Very Much For Your Naturally Service Posted Doc !

- michael, we all have our viewpoints, and I have mine. don't get me wrong, I would go and see roger live anytime I could, and it certainly wasn't my intention to dimish the great time you and others had at the concert. I do respect the man a lot, even if I do not agree with many things he puts into views, are some ways he puts classic material into his very own current artistic context.
I think you can (also) read between the lines what I was trying to say. and to make a long story short, I always feel a bit uncomfortable hearing other guitar players subsitute david's guitar work, that's all.
but as I said, it's all fine in the end, I am forever thankful for the doc's efforts, and the opportunity he's giving us all to dive into roger's work. - Many thanks.
Just wondering, which source do you think is best?
Also, sorry for the screw-up in April! I really thought it was Denver!
Thanks for thanking me for the heads up on the show. Just couldn't get my computer to upload it, so you got the FLAC faster than I could get you the FLAC. hahaha - Ignoring the person above I had a great time in Denver. I fell in Love with Suzanne, I met You Matt and a few others who have become important to me. Hey Ron and Wendy and Jake and Tim and Colin and Chris. M and last but not least Greg. Oh I also met the band and Mr. Waters. A great time and the show was perfect sae two or three little errors. Tanks again
Michael - I'll will be buying A T-shirt on payday, probably the one that started it all, please fix the brain scan problems as this is the one I have been waiting for. I can't understand how it can be so hard, it looks great on the site on a black background can't you just put it on a black T-shirt. I am sure you can do it .. go on ... please ...
Great show by the way. love what you do. - despite I remain unimpressed by (most of) roger's attempts to play original floyd material, most of which sounds imo more like cover versions than orginals, even some of those are really good here, especially DSOTM and sheep. "set the controls" and "have a cigar" are just plain awful, sorry to say that. too much unnecessary tinkering.
but anyway, always a pleasure to hear roger's solo material in concert, I think these are great, and roger's thank you's and band intros are especially nice..
you can make out jon carin, the man saves a lot in those performances, impeccable playing as always. same goes for snowy white, great to hear him play. his solo on ABITW really is a bit of a time warp, absolutely great!!
thanks for after all another great podcast. despite some of the above said, I treasure the opportunity to open my ears to stuff that I would normally avoid during an everyday daily listeting routine.
all the best,
bernhard
