I still love the BBC. We continue along the same path as the last podcast but further back in time to the early days of Pink Floyd and their heavy, almost regular appearances for BBC's Top Gear and Night Ride. The podcast starts off with a "violence" request from Martin. 1. Flaming
2. Scarecrow 3. The Gnome 4. Matilda Mother 5. Vegetable Man
6. Scream Thy Last Scream 7. Pow R Toc H 8. Jugband Blues BBC 210 Piccadilly Studios, 9. Let There Be More Light
10. Murderistic Women (careful with that axe 11. Julia Dream 12. Massed Gadgets of Hercules (saucerful of secrets) 13. Point Me at the Sky
14. Embryo 15. Baby Blue Shuffle in D Major (the narrow way pt1) 16. Interstellar Overdrive 17. Daybreak (grantchester meadows) 18. Nightmare (cymbaline) 19. The Beginning (green is the colour) 20. Beset By Creature of the Deep (careful with that axe 21. The Comments[22]

- \"Great Britain/U.K are made up of England, Scotland,Wales and North Ireland.\"
Please remember that the UK and GB are two different things. The United Kingdom is the union containing Britain and Northern Ireland. Great Britain consists only of England, Scotland and Wales. So, Northern Ireland is in the United Kingdom but not in Great Britain.
Of course, many people believe that NI should not even be in the UK - but that is a whole debating point! I\'m just sticking to constitutional facts here! - Wow doc, that was quick. Thanks so much for playing the 'Violence Sequence' for me. It's excellent, and showcases what a great musician Rick Wright is. Was that the olny time it was played?
On an unrelated note, I work for Time Out London. Would you like the show to be featured as our Podcast Of The Week, or do you prefer not to draw too much attention to it, in case of copyright heat? - Doctor, Thanks for another good 'un...Interesting material here, although I prefer the sessions in podcast 76. The first time I heard the 70/71 Paris Cinema sessions was on Tommy Vance's 'Friday Rock Show' on Radio 1 in 19oatcake - they still sound great!
Definitive info on the UK can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_kingdom
Call it what you like but please not 'England' (as we in Scotland + those from Wales and Ireland find that pretty offensive! - perhaps akin to referring to someone from 'the south' as a Yank!
All the best! - Oops - you beat me to it Ben. Serves me right for not hitting refresh since this morning.
P.S. Not being picky - I\'d just like to know. The order of the tracks in this cast differs from the lists on the BBC website. Anyone know which one is right, i.e. in what order each set of tracks were originally broadcast? - Set the Controls was part of the 1967 set, as was Reaction in G. Have they survived or are they permanently missing? Always wanted to hear the \'67 version of Set the Controls. Otherwise, great stuff. Keep \'em coming.
Just to complete the info - our passports say \"The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland\". Northern Ireland is not part of Great Britain - the term United Kingdom was invented when the NI province came into being. At least that\'s the way I\'ve always understood it. But yes, it is confusing. - 'fraid, old bean, the comments above are wrong. The UK is made up of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Whereas Great Britain is England, Wales and Scotland only. So different names for different configurations.
Cheers
Ben
P.S. Any Division Bell outtakes or demos kicking around...? - Hey Doctor, I listen to your podcast frequently and love it. Recently, I\'ve been trying to get The Final Cut demos (I believe they\'re called \"The Final Cutting\") but I\'m having some difficulty. So, here\'s my request. If you get a chance sometime, do you think you could try to get a hold of those demos for a future podcast or something? That would be really awesome and I\'m sure many people, including myself, would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks for consistently putting together such great shows. - Wow doctor you have made my day again. wilst i sit ehre and downlaod it i thank you for your hardwork in produceing this material. this will keep me ocipied as i have the flu at the mo. iv been hearing from floyd fans that the australian pink floyd show should be palyed on here. i have htere 2003 show witch features dark side of the moon then alaod of foyd classics, i also hav wish you were here and animals by them. im hopeing people ahve concert songs recorded by them with the song set the controls hey you etc. thanks doc wish u luck on the next podcast
- Thanks for another great podcast. I`ve been trying to get hold of these for a while. :)
Great Britain/U.K are made up of England, Scotland,Wales and North Ireland. We tend to be U.K nowadays as we're not so great anymore :) Great Britain is a throwback to the days of Empire.
So Pf members are from England but are part of the U.K. it can be confusing :).
