Show #131 Release date: 27. April, 2009

Apologies for the delay on this.  The production process was plagued with technical difficulties.  Plus there was massive amounts of tweaking I had to do several times after not being satisfied with each end result.  It's not the worst but its not the best but it is an interesting gig.  I also had problems with the upload.  Maybe Floyd's luck, or rather lack of with technical issues was contagious.

For this podcast we go to an often forgotten land.  It was Floyd's first and last visit to this country in the Fennoscandian region of northern Europe.  Suurhalli, Lahti, Finland, 10. June 1989.  Enjoy!

  • Hi Doc,
Not so much doctored as brought back to life I think. Great to have a really decent listen to a show that was fairly unlistenable before.
You are a genius Dr Frankenstein.
    Cheers Keith

  • Thanks guys! Yes, I honestly had audio problems. ...and computer issues and Internet issues. When it rains it pours. It was fun.

That Paris show if really good. I've been meaning to feature it for a while.

  • Thanks for another great concert. I also love this 87-89 period.

For a really great audience recording from 89, I suggest the Paris Bercy show that was released as "The Pinks In Paris!". Fantastic atmosphere and great sound quality. I'm assuming you have all these shows but email me if not.

  • ..Thanks for this one Doc,its good to have a complete (If flawed) gig from 89. I just love these seemingly endless 87/88/89 tours, one of my favourite eras. It would be nice to hear one of the Moscow gigs sometime,or how about one of the Versailles shows from 88? Would be good to hear one of these historical shows. Oh,& Doc,are you sure the 'technical difficulties' resulting in the delay of this Podcast wasn't just your delicous black humour, considering Floyds sound problems on this show?! Just wondering.. Thanks again Doc for a great offering.... CWH
