5. Wearing The Inside Out

The following is BBC Radio One's recording from Empire Pool, Wembley, Middlesex, England, 16. November 1974

  • Holy crap! Should I be more amazed to hear a professional, release-era, live recording of DSOTM? What a find! So, you mean to tell me that this recording is somewhere in Floyd or BBC archives needing just a dusting off? Again, amazing. Sounds great. As always, thanks Doc!

  • Interesting edit for getting that backwards message in there, given that the two versions of the songs are in different keys :)

  • Yet another great one. I love these. (By the way, what was that right after Wearing The Inside Out? I don't recall it being in the album version... it's not a hidden something-else, is it?)

I have an idea for the next show. Basically, take the setlist of a 1994 show (the first one would do) and replace the 1994 versions with earlier, older versions of the songs. In case of AMLOR material just use the Melbourne soundboard, and for TDB... I guess just use vinyl versions and stuff.

Really, I think it'd be just beautiful to have the Look Of The Week Syd-sung Astronomy Domine segue into What Do You Want From Me.

  • Hi Doctor
I have listened your last radio shows,

this one is also called "Wembley Pre-FM Master" (16 Nov 1974), it's great but...

I think your the best show is "THE WALL DEMOS" and that extended rare versions of "Is There Anybody Out There" "What Shall We Do Now" or "The show must go on", there are some complete concerts I'd like to listen about the wall LIVE:

    Azimuth Coordinator part 3
    Behind The Wall
    The Wall Rehearsals
    Welcome To The Wall
    Wallive
    Tear Down The Wall

    I listened:
Is there anyone out there (CD 1980-81)
the wall live at Earls Court (DVD 1980)
    the film (DVD 1982)
and live in Berlin (RW 1990)

It's very difficult to get that concerts so please shows us one of them next time

    Thanks Doc.

  • Great PodCast. Unfortunately when downloaded via iTunes it seems to cut off during Great Gig in the Sky... Has anyone else had the problem, or is it just my copy?
