  • I too was at this night's concert. Thank you for this, what a rush listening to it. Still have the 25 cent program and ticket stub. I remember the rocket (airliner) crashing into the screen. The videos with flying alarm clocks, the guys in yellow shirts busting the people next to us. Thanks for this gem. It was as good as I remembered or thought I remembered.

  • I agree it was incredible to hear "Marooned" in board quality! A nice touch they added it to the DVD. Another quality 75 show! Early Animals stuff, hard to beat!

  • I was at this concert in 1975 ... tripping a little on Orange Barrel and Thai ... we had played the Dark Side Of The Moon cassette to death on the way there and still couldn't get enough.

This show was amazing and the recording is exactly what I remember ... including the part where he tells the yellow shirted security staff to stop moving, sit down an enjoy the show ... we were sooo happy about that, since they were trying to kick people out for smoking. lol

During the shows they did that week at the Sports Arena ... there hundreds of arrests for marijuana both inside and outside the venue. But no riots, no fist fights ... and no real uproar. It was US and THEM ... and we just thought of THEM as terribly sad.

During the show, they had a small mock up airliner crash into the stage ... does anyone remember that? I didn't see the cables at first and had major 'misgivings' due to my altered state. LOL

When they brought up Syd before Crazy Diamond ... hundreds in the crowd cheered his name. Gilmore was great about it, and kind of saluted the crowd ... very very cool.

Thank you for putting this up on your cast ... it has brought be tons of great memories, and really renewed my love for the band.

  • Great show. Great to hear the evolution of the Animals material. You're right, Doc, imagine hearing this stuff two years before it was released!

    Thanks!

  • Wow Doc, excellent sound qual, best I've heard for that tour. I like Scott's suggestion - anything from Animals tour with great S.Q. too.
