Show #56, Release date: 28. April, 2006

Originally Show #19, Air date: 7. August, 2004 - The Boston Garden was a great place to see a concert.  It was built at the cost of 4 million dollars in 1928 by the same people who built New York's Madison Square Garden.  It was originally called  Boston's Madison Square Garden and eventually "Madison Square" was dropped from the name.  The Garden was demolished in 1997.  Today, everything in the photo to the right, is gone.

The Floyd live at The Garden, 18. June, 1975.  Most enjoyable are the performances of You Gotta Be Crazy, which is different from both the 74 and 77 Dogs versions.  The set also has very good versions of Any Colour You Like and one of the last pre-87 performances of Echoes.

  • I really dig the 75 and 77 tours, they played around with the songs a bit and they dont sound so carbon copy to the record and yet retain the spirit of the original.

  • Absolutely fab apart from the person yacking away during raving and drooling!

  • Excellent cast, missed it the first time, only found your site early this year, great to hear a concert from that era, Roger's voice and bass playing sounded great, still had a raw feel to it. Keep them coming, I love it.

    All the best,
    Peter

  • Dear Doctor Dave,

    Thank you!

Merci! Danke! Gracias! Xiexie! Arrigato! Khap khun khap! Terima Kasi! Spasiba! Kamsahamnida! In as many languages as I can muster – THANK YOU!

I’m a little slow on the technology adoption curve, so when I discovered your site last week I went into orbit, where I have giddily remained ever since.

I left “home? (Toronto) several years ago to take up life as a 21st century nomad. This means leaving some of my precious belongings behind – like my wax Floyd boots. Maybe I should take up religion, because your site is an answer to every Floyd Freak’s dreams. I now have my Russian buddy living in Shanghai enjoying the fruits of your labors. Welcome to globalization…if you play it, they will come.

Thanks again, Doctor. Looking forward to any and all future broadcasts!

  • Hi Again,

So happy to get another show.

So re- Arnold Layne - we got that both nights in LA and on the second night in LA we got What's Uh The Deal instead of Wearing The Inside Out. Wooo Hooo.

I still can't believe how fking blown back my hair /whole being was during Take A Breath. Might of been the highlight of the whole first night in LA. It was straight out of that Maxell Tape ad with the speakers and the guy in the chair. Unbelievably awesome.

Just got the tickets for the two Roger shows at the Hollywood Bowl in October. I got to see the whole Dark Side of the Moon show at Giants Stadium with Dave. This will be fab too.
What a great yeat this is.

Oh and I have some super rarities (I mean super) so I'll send you an email.

    All best,
    Rob
