  • As far as I can tell, Roger's intro to Run Like Hell sounds like it's from the official live CD of The Wall ("Is There Anybbody Out There?").

  • Thanks to both Doc and Chad for this! Can anybody tell me where Roger's vitriolic intro to Run Like Hell comes from?

  • Wow! This was really great, have listened to it at least 5 times already.

  • Gil, I have the same feelings, It was my first Floyd love and as such I played it to death. I never really play it any more, But I can't stop playing this, My Favourite part in this mix has got to be the Empty Spaces both versions.

  • What a stunning version!!!! I've not listened to The Wall for a while and forgotten how much I like it. This was a great way to rekindle my love for the album. Keep up the good work!

  • Firstly, excellent work, Chad! I am particularly taken with the extended version of 'Nobody Home'. Very smoothly put together. Nice indeed!

Secondly, Doc, I also vote for your own try at this. Not to lessen Chad's work, which is pretty incredible, but very interested to hear what you yourself would do with all the material now available (not to mention any "surprises" that pop up on the latest tour! :).

Maybe in another 20 or so podcasts?

    All the best!

  • Great show, I must have listened to it 6 times already.
Doc you said you would have done a few things different with the edits, how about doing your own version and including a few spare bricks from the Final Cut you would have to mix these in where you saw fit as there seems no natural place for them.
    Thanks Chad nice work.

  • Thanks for more bricks to jam.
Also, much appreciated for the SRV ending. I jammed many SRV live boots on the 20th anniversary. Long Live SRV!

  • I love it! Very cool to see this posted! I mixed this back in August 2000 after I mixed Project KAOS. I am glad you are all enjoying it. I often would wonder if anyone else still listens to this and how far out there it reached.

How cool is this? I have been a big fan of the Doctor's podcast for a long time... and now the tables have turned and I find that the Doctor is a fan of mine.

Was a pleasure to make Every Brick. Source materials were the remastered CD, the Live CD, the movie soundtrack, and a few other odd bits. I wish I could find my notes. Extra attention was taken to make it sound as good as possible. Listen closely and enjoy a lot of the extended and reworked songs. I tried to be as faithful to the source materials as possible. It's been a long time since I listened to this... but now I am rediscovering it for myself.

  • Hey Doc,

Great as always! Too bad you're not heading down to the dirty Jerz for a show. Would be awesome to join the great Doctor at a tailgate party!

I sent you a youtube link of DSotM done with Nintendo Entertainment System sounds. Not sure if you got it via twitter.

  • Doc-

Let me be the first to welcome another podcast. Looking forward to listening! Also am frothing at the mouth for Waters at The Garden 10/1, so this should serve as a nice appetizer.

  • Correction....TIP of the Hat to Chad Hendrickson for not only the idea of this mix....but for the Mix ITSELF...!

.....it is somehow comforting to know that there are others willing to do what the Good Doctor has done and does so well for so long, and that is to present us with 'new incarnations' of Floyd's ART. The Floyd Fan Community are some of the COOLEST People in the world.
