- Just wanted to say we loved the show in Kentucky. We (Myself,Mike,Sandy, and Super) ,as always, listen to it at work. We always look forward to the next installment of Doc\'s rockin\' podcasts. I particularly liked the 75\' additions. Very Nice...
Keep up the great work Doc!
You\'re the Bomb! - Doc
As the other person who asked for the 75 knebworth "Echoes" I want to send a big thank you to you and it dovetailed nicely with the 90 show. Of course the sound quality would be great from a board it was still nice for us die hard fans to hear what is effectively the last Floyd concert before the "In the Flesh " tour changed the vibes. Can't wait for the next podcast!!
- Hey Doctor. I was at that Knebworth 90 show. Some really cheesy rubbish on the bill - Tears For Fears, Status Quo, Cliff Richard in a voluminous pink suit, and Genesis doing their loathsome Phil Collins Motown medley thing. Was worth it, though, for Page & Plant, Paul McCartney and the Floyd though, as you mentioned, it really put some rain down during their set. I travelled down through the night on a coach from my home town with a busload of stoners who were interested in the Floyd and nothing else. Incidentally, I went to the Gilmour DVD premiere at the Ritzy in Brixton on Saturday. He did the guitar intro live, and a fairly unrevealing Q&A with Phil Manzanera. Was asked a loaded question about the Zep reunion, but sidestepped it by saying he was really excited about seeing them, and would have to tap up Harvey Goldsmith for tickets. Oh, and as previously mentioned, the version of 'Echoes' on the DVD is a bit special.
- Nice to hear a little of the 75 Knebworth concert, which I went to, happy memories.
There have always been rumours as to how many performances were recorded by Floyd themselves - now that they seem to have effectively retired as a band, maybe this would be a good time for some official \"Live Archive\" releases. If you\'re reading this, David ......how about it? - The two tracks from the 75 Knebworth gig featured in this cast IS from the \"remastered\" version the Bannisters are/were offering... I fixed it up as much as I could. No soundboard from the Bannisters unfortunately. When I got their recording I was very disappointed too.
- Great show!
Sadly the 75 show is an audience recording, and and not that great recording. Oh well. The 90 show kicked ass.
Although I thought they had a soundboard recording of this show and it was remastered. I saw it here: http://www.pinkfloydz.com/bannisters.htm
