Show #147 Release date: 7. February, 2010

I'm still working on the syncing project. So in the meantimem heres a quick podcast I whiped up thanks to Brain Damaged listener Jim Gilbert of Montgomery, Alabama who emailed "Why not the New Orleans Superdome show to feature in a podcast, to celebrate the Saints? (I'm actually a Pats fan, by the way.) It could work either way if they win, it's a Floydian lagniappe. If they lose, it's a consolation prize for all Saints/Floyd fans."  Excellent Idea!  Suggestions are always appreciated so keep sending them in.

  • Great choice for a "filler" podcast. I'm partial to this tour, as it was the second I saw..and the last. Really great memories from that night in Foxboro (and, I'm also partial to the Pats) But, congrats to the Saints, and their fans. I remember how great it was to win the first..and that was in New Awlins..Live it up..it only happens once. Thanks Doc..

  • Thanks guys... more like it. : ) haha.

@Fat Old Jack... A listenable Barrett era show is next to impossible to find. There aren't any complete Barrett era shows floating around that fit the caliber. I'm always looking though.

  • The whole band felt really on task for this concert, all of the songs sounded great! Definitely the best version of "Comfortably Numb". David played his ass off on all of these solos, but nothing as to that "numbing solo.

  • Nice job doc-
You do a great service to all Floyd fans worldwide

I am a staunch Syd Barrett/Roger Waters Floyd fan, but this show was smokin! Second set in particular.

Now, I know I'm becoming a bit of a pest, but PLEASE PLEASE could you do a Barrett era show doctored for super sound. It's the ONE thing I have never seen here, and I tune in for every podcast. I have many of the shows you podcast in bootleg form, but rarely do they have the sonic qualities of your pods. Once again, well done Matt!

  • Glad to hear this one. This show was about two weeks after Birmingham, Ala., the only time I ever had the good fortune to see Pink Floyd. Great memories. Thanks.

Is anyone else happy that that chick got her cigarette relatively quickly at the beginning of OTTA?
