Here is a cool Indian TV news story from IBNLive.com about the concert. Here is an interview I did for a blogger in India that I mention in the podcast. Comments[21]

- What about Pakistan, Roger? Nah we don\'t have alQaeda everywhere, c\'mon!
The first ever cover band in Pakistan was a \'Pink Floyd\' cover band back in the 80s and to this day rock musicians here are influenced by Pink Floyd, David\'s music, Roger\'s words, and maybe that is why our rock bands are idolized in India!
Long Live Floyd
- My view on the asshole screaming at the end of "Leaving Beirut" is fine if you don't like it but don't ruin the show for the people around you by screaming and yelling. If you have grievence about the concert don't go acting like jerk. You'll have enough time to piss and moan on the drive back home after the show.
- Just checked my Knebworth '75 copy - sounds like it's the same version. Would be great to find a better version, particularly with Have a Cigar complete, as I'm a big fan of Roy Harper, who joined them on stage to sing it - the only time that happened as far as I'm aware. Roy also smashed up his room at that gig, which was later the inspiration for the track "One of My Turns". It's a real shame that this track is incomplete.
- Hi Doc.
I have been a long listener of this show but have never left a comment. I love your show. Last month I saw Roger Waters in Atlanta and it was incredible! The people around me were very nice but there was some jerk in front of me who was smoking cigarette the whole time. I can understand a joint since it\\\'s Pink Floyd but he decided to smoke a ciggy. What made it worse is that I had a bad cough that entire week so I didn\\\'t make it any better. Hard to sing to the words of the songs when you\\\'re breathing in cigarette smoke. Ironically it was the heaviest during \\\"Have A CIgar\\\". Anyway, I love the song Leaving Beirut (I\\\'m a liberal and believe in peace) and was amazed that everyone cheered during \\\"That Texas education must of f*cked up when you were very small.\\\", which is my favorite line. I knew all the songs, glad he played songs from The Final Cut though disappointed that he didn\\\'t play \\\"The Gunner\\\'s Dream\\\". Also disappointed that Nick wasn\\\'t there, or Rick or David. But it was enough having Roger. Thank you very much for this show.
My request is some Dark Side of The Moon outtakes (if you have them), or if the other stuff is not possible then I like to hear (if possible) Pink Floyd\\\'s show at Knebworth Park in 1975 or Pink Floyd at Hyde Park 1970.
Thank you very much, see you on the dark side.
Chris S. - Actually I could see how my comment could have been confusing if you didn\'t realize I\'m in America. I was criticizing the media in my own country (America), and saying I wish we had more news stories similar to the one that was broadcast in India.
Sorry if there was a misunderstanding, I shouldn\'t take it for granted that people will know what I mean by \"here\". - Yeah, I agree with what The Doc says, international artists in India is a HUGE deal, especially my city, where the last international show joe satriani a couple of years back. So, yes, give starving people food and they SCREAM their heads off!!!i have friends who spend fortunes every year travelling to these shows. plus you guys have so much new music happening all the time, in India, thanks to distribution problems, only really big acts get heard.
- Hi Doc, First of all I have to say it is another great show, loved it.
I always wanted to leave a comment and always forget to.
just so you know that lots of peoples in Israel listen to you, and I always introduce your show to more and more peoples - You really pass my time on my way to work every morning.
about the thing that been written here- I prefer to see waters in a place like India (or the show in Israel which I couldn't see) rather to see it in the USA, I went to the concert in PNC Banks art center, NJ last year and the audience where the most disappointing part of the show - I felt like they don't know hoe to appreciate such a big artist.
for example, before the concert i was dreaming about how amazing will it be to shout "perfect sense" with thousands of peoples, sadly I found myself shouting all by myself.
you can hear in this concert the interaction of Roger with the crowd, and this how it should be.
thank again for another great podcast. - You would never see a news story like that in America. The mainstream's concept of "Pink Floyd" and/or "Roger Waters" here, despite their enormous success, is "some old band that wouldn't appeal to blah blah blah demographic". If we *did* have a news item like that, they certainly would not have named so many songs correctly.
