Show #71, Release date: 27. October, 2006

Originally Show #10, Air date: 29. May, 2004 - The 1982 film soundtrack features a few  tracks not on the original album, as well as remixed and even completely re-recorded tracks from The Wall's original release. This is complete with dialogue, sound effects and nothing speed up like you hear on most RoIO's of the same material.

I mixed in the rough cut of Hey You from the DVD as it would have been done originally, had it been included in the film.  I also added in, an alternate extended version of Bring The Boys Back Home not heard on the album or the film.

  1. The Little Boy Santa Claus Forgot (Vera Lynn)
  2. When The Tigers Broke Free (part 1)
  3. In The Flesh
  4. The Thin Ice
  5. Another Brick In The Wall (part 1)
  6. When The Tigers Broke Free (part 2)
  7. Good Bye Blue Sky
  8. The Happiest Days Of Our Lives
  9. Another Brick In The Wall (part 2)
  10. Mother
  11. Empty Spaces
  12. What Shall We Do Now?
  13. Young Lust
  14. One Of My Turns
  15. Don't Leave Me Now
  16. Another Brick In The Wall (part 3)
  17. The Last Few Bricks
  18. Goodbye Cruel World
  19. Hey You
  20. Is There Anybody Out There?
  21. Nobody Home
  22. Vera
  23. Bring The Boys Back Home (B side single)
  24. Comfortably Numb
  25. In The Flesh?
  26. Run Like Hell
  27. Waiting For The Worms
  28. Stop
  29. The Trial
  30. Outside The Wall

  • Man, you are a lifesaver! I've wanted to own The Wall Soundtrack for ages, but I don't have DVD conversion software and even if I did, I'm flat broke at the moment. Thanks! This rules!

  • Haven't listened to this one yet, but I just have to say that this movie kicks all kinds of ass. I'm listening to the "Run Like F**K" LA bowl podcast now, and I must say, you guys did a damn good job!

  • Quick suggestion: Do a podcast (or maybe multiple podcasts) with tracks featured on the Tree Full of Secrets bootleg discs. It would be cool to hear some of their rarest stuff! Anyways, please consider it, your show is the best!

  • No need for the original sound track to be released when something of this quality is available!

  • Bit strange to hear the film versions without seeing it. A lot of strange differences in the mixes, some of which make you go "mmm!" and others that just make you go "hmmm" ...

Nice job of leveling out the overall volume, btw; the unretouched soundtrack's dynamics are outright assaulting.

  • Hahaha, wasn't expecting "Isn't this where we came in?" Got a good laugh out of that.
A fantastic podcast as usual, Doc.
