After posting The Daily Aztec article, fellow Brain Damage listener Mike S, posted a comment saying he was in London between the 3rd and 16th of September '06 and first learned about Brain Damage from a small mention he saw in the The Times.

The Times is a national newspaper published daily in the U.K. since 1785 and its been regarded as Britain's "newspaper of record" and is preserved in the British Library's newspaper library in that capacity.

Mike was kind enough to send a scan of the clipping he saved.  Very cool!  Thank you Mike and thanks to the unknown individuals at The Times who made the mention.  Its an honor to be in Pink Floyd's hometown newspaper!

  • I love your show Doc. I discovered your site by accident but I\'m so glad I did. Your show format is wonderful and insighful into Floyd\'s music both past and present. This is the Floyd Music lovers dream mother load. I\'ve told all my friends about it and they agree that this site freaking rocks. I\'ve seen a lot of Floyd sites but this one ranks right at number 1. Keep Rocking Doc!

  • Yeah, that's cool. I only listened to the preview, but it sounds like the James Bond theme and/or "Is There Anybody Out There?".

  • Did we tell you the name of the game, boy? We call it "riding the gravy train".

No idea where that phrase actually comes from, btw.

  • Cool. I discovered your site about two weeks ago, and have been overdosing on Floyd (as if that were even possible).

Actually, I was wondering if you had done, or would do a podcast with the entire set from Pompeii, either like you did with the Wall film soundtrack (with the interviews, etc), or just the music. That version of Echoes is one of the best I\'ve heard.

  • Doc,

As an obsessed Floyd collector, it's great to find a place to 'rest'.

I'm going to let you do the work for awhile and sit back and enjoy these fine productions. I plan to spem hours at leisure catching up

BTW, as a Trek Fan too, I love that podcast into "Please state the nature..."

    Thanks a Million--make it two
