Show #68 Release date: 15. September, 2006

Recorded last week, 8th September, Mansfield, Massachusetts at the Tweeter Center from Section 2, Row S, FOB, left of center, inside the stacks.  The last half of the first set is my favorite except for when a member of the audience loses his mind after watching the video of Leaving Beirut.  His screaming of "What about 9-11!" at the end of Leaving Beirut, continues on through the beginning of Sheep.  Besides that annoying asshole, there is hardly any talking and the 360 degree sound imaging can be heard. This is an excellent recording for the Tweeter Center.  This podcast starts off with one forgotten intro from the last show.  Enjoy!

  • I live in Italy so I went to the show in Arena di Verona on last June. I heard the scream too during the show. It was certainly a sound effect coming out from the speakers.

  • Saw this show in Melbourne at the start of Feb. As great as this podcast is, it really doesn\'t do the show justice. It DEMANDS to be seen live. As one poster said above about being high afterwards, for me it lasted for a few days! Spoke to my father two days after and he said \"I can\'t get it out of my head!\" As a local reviewer said - \'It was like hearing Dark Side for the first time\' Summed it up perfectly. Simply awesome.

  • I waited until I saw the show on October 10 before I listened to the podcast...and how cool to have this excellent show on a podcast! And having seen the Leaving Beirut performance and film...yes, tie that "what about 9/11" guy not to the pig but to a weather balloon and let him float away into a bliss of ignorance. Thank you Doctor. p.s. To Tim, I have a CD of Music From The Body...I've never looked at having gas in quite the same way...

  • Doctor! Doctor!
thank you so much for getting this show out there
totally missed my opportunities to get to see either Roger or David this year, it was so depressing! :(
the sound is amazing, I'm really there!
having read all the fan reviews of Roger's dates you've made this as good as it got for not being there, better infact - cheap sod that I am ;)
nice to hear that there's at least one fellow american floydian out there that's of the same mind
enjoyed your show and the little bits you add
look forward to more of your hard work

    thank you thank you

  • "What about 9/11 Roger!"

There is one in every bunch. Whilst listening to this idiot, I was kind of hoping the Doc would tie him to the pig by his balls so he would vanish into the stratosphere and stop spoiling the show. What a tool!

Apart from that what a fkn excellent show! Thanks Doc.

  • Hey Doc,

I saw Roger Waters last night (Saturday) September 23rd, 2006: NISSAN PAVILION, BRISTOW, VA. The show was awesome!!! Needless to say, I did not get very much sleep last night so I listened to some of you podcasts that feature "Dark Side Of The Moon". Can you put the concert up in your Podcast? I wanted to take my nephew but my sister said he was too young to go.

    Thanks,
    Steve

  • Some friends and I went to the rogerwaters concert at the tweeter center in camden, nj. played an identical set. it was absolutely thrilling, the first floyd/waters concert of our lives.

The superb combination of background effects, lights, computer graphics and the brilliant acoustics complimented Rogerwater's voice which was just as mellow as in the olden days.

  • You know, my eyes skim over these live set lists and I see so many songs that I expect to see anyway that I don't notice things like Fletcher Memorial Home. I got shivers when that came on, and it sounds like the audience knew it well. I think it's the first time I ever heard it live, and never expected to. Loved hearing that one audience member yell out "and George W!" Heheheh. Nice treat. :)

  • I was at this show, and it was absolutely the greatest concert experience of my life. I\'ve been tuning to this site daily ever since, hoping that you\'d put a stream of it up. I was not disappointed.

I was in the lawn seats, so luckily I didn\'t hear the numbskull after Leaving Beirut. If he had been standing next to me, I swear I would have cracked him one. I was getting pissed off just listening to it. The Roger of 30 years ago would\'ve spit right in his face.

I was wondering if you could stream \"The Body\" in its entirety for a future show. I\'m a Roger fanatic, and out of all his work, that\'s the only one I haven\'t been able to find anywhere. After hearing a track from it as the intro to this show, I am intrigued and want to hear more. I think other Floyd fans would be with me here as it\'s pretty obscure. Any chance of that happening?
