  • Hi Doc,

I want to thank you for your podcasts...I am really enjoing your radio shows in the train when I am going to college and back :) and of course when I am going to bed :P

I do like your idea to compare old PF performances with the new ones of David or Roger :) especially Arnold Layne, or Echoes, or Set the controls...wow :)

I have just one question..do you have any recordings of Clare Torry singing Great Gig In The sky with the floyd with Roger. So not the one of the knebworth (I think 1990 ...wich is great too) , but I think other floyd fans would also really like to hear her singin live :d

    greetz from Holland...

  • Why not have a podcast with instrumentals only, there are so many you could easily fill 150 mins. with them. Thanks for your great podcasts by the way

  • Hey Doctor
i listen to your shows all the time, its also very cool for me as im 18 so never exprienced the old concerts.
I have a random question which i hope you or someone can tell/email me the answer..
What is the exact time ticked over on 'Echoes'
Part 2 bit where it breaks into that fantastic noise after the build up?
I get loads of different times on different CD players, one 18:14 the other 18:23, i wanna know because im getting a tatoo of it.
Thanks and keep em coming :)

  • Apparently that "Gunner's Dream" is down a whole step too, in F instead of G.

Wasn't my only other comment on this blog about what key something was in? I'm sorry I'm so boring. :)

  • Great show, and I think your then and now idea is great. I would especially love to hear how Syd's classics compare to the David renditions of this year's tour.

  • Doc,

THANKS!!! I have not heard that for probably 20 years... "The Last Few Bricks". It brought tears to my eyes.

I never realized how similar it was to "Any Colour You Like", as ACYL is my favorite track on DSotM.
